THIS TAG MAKES ME FEEL FEELS
“And Harry, with the unerring skill of the Seeker, caught the wand in his free hand as Voldemort fell backwards, arms splayed, the slit pupils of his scarlet eyes rolling upwards. Tom Riddle hit the floor with a mundane finality, his body feeble and shrunken, the white hands empty, the snake-like face vacant and unknowing. Voldemort was dead, killed by his own rebounding curse, and Harry stood with two wands in his hand, staring down at his enemy’s shell.” - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, page 596
The Korean story of the little mermaid is that she must kill the prince in order to be human, and instead in the end, she loves him too much and kills herself instead.
It’s not the korean version, it’s the original Hans Christian Anderson version. While the Disney movie was based off of his tale they had to… tone it down.
Beautiful picture though.
It is the korean version though. In the original version she does need him to fall in love with her so she can remain human. In the end the prince gets engaged to someone else even if he did develop some feelings for her. There is when the king (or her sisters I don’t remember OTL) finds a loophole to the sea witch’s contract which was to kill the prince before sundown the day of his wedding and she would turn back into a mermaid and could go back to her family. She waits till the deadline she had because she could not bring herself to kill him and turned into bubbles. :| The end.
So yeah, she doesn’t need to kill him to turn into a human in the original version.
